The weather has slowly been getting warmer and flowers are blooming, which means it’s almost Spring! I couldn’t resist wearing this tulip print dress that always reminds me of Spring, layered underneath a cashmere turtleneck. I wore this outfit a few weekends ago but the past few days I’ve only been wearing my trench coat and sans scarf. Spring weather is upon us!

Ever since I saw Ivelina of FriChic rocking an orange statement blazer here, I’d been looking to get something similar for myself. A statement blazer in a bright color makes a neutral outfit stand out not to mention it’s a great way to cheer up oneself amidst the gray and gloomy weather. Luckily for me, ZARA releases a version of its jersey blazer in basic neutral colors year round and in different fun colors seasonally. I nabbed my ZARA orange blazer during one of the semi-annual sale last year.
The weather in London has been warming up a tad, and I kept warm with the cashmere sweater underneath the blazer. I’m glad I paired it the my cashmere sweater for I would otherwise be feeling chilly with the strong winds! Now if you’ll excuse the messy hair…

The black tweed jacket is synonymous with Chanel and tend to conjure images of feminine formal wear. Instead of conforming to that notion, I decided to pair my black tweed jacket for a casual sporty outfit for an errand run. Sadly, the gray skies in London resulted in either overexposed or underexposed images while shooting for this outfit. (I’ve yet to experiment with the wonders of Lightroom or Photoshop that could have salvage many of the images.) Kindly excuse the unkempt hair for the relentless wind here renders any untied hair to a mess! (Which explains the cropped full body shot sans head.)
Here’s another outfit wearing the ZARA Wool Dress (first worn here) that you lovely readers chimed in on here. I’m definitely loving this dress and am glad to have kept it! Looking forward to wearing it many more Fall and Winters to come. I’m pairing the dress with some green in hopes of Spring coming soon.
When I first spotted this giraffe striped sweater last Fall, I quickly went to assess the fabric and quality of the sweater. While it was slightly thinner than I did like, I couldn’t help but add it to my wishlist as it had both things that I like – giraffe AND stripes! (I previously shared why I love giraffes here.) Having shopped in Banana Republic for a while, I knew they had 40% off regular items on every Wednesday, so I patiently awaited for their next promotion/sale to purchase the sweater. I didn’t have to wait too long for the sweater was marked down in the span of two weeks! (Fast fashion, anyone?) Ah, patience almost always pays when it comes to shopping for me. 😉
