The black tweed jacket is synonymous with Chanel and tend to conjure images of feminine formal wear. Instead of conforming to that notion, I decided to pair my black tweed jacket for a casual sporty outfit for an errand run. Sadly, the gray skies in London resulted in either overexposed or underexposed images while shooting for this outfit. (I’ve yet to experiment with the wonders of Lightroom or Photoshop that could have salvage many of the images.) Kindly excuse the unkempt hair for the relentless wind here renders any untied hair to a mess! (Which explains the cropped full body shot sans head.)
Thanks to your lovely input to this post, I have decided to keep the ZARA Wool Dress and have returned the skirt. I wore it out for a date night with G and kept it simple by doubling the wool scarf as a shawl when indoors to keep my shoulders warm. My outfit attracted some attention, as we had a visitor while G was taking my outfit shots!
I wore this outfit a while ago but am only getting around to posting it now. I bought this summer dress last year (worn here) and decided I’d get more wear out of it by pairing it with a jacket to make it work appropriate.
Kindly excuse the lack of detail for outfit pictures as I’m still trying to figure out the best way to take selfies with my new camera. The auto-focus on my micro 4/3rds camera doesn’t work like my previous point and shoot!
Ever since I found maxi dress to be flattering on me, I’ve been trying to wear them more often. I packed one with me on my birthday vacation and wore it layered under tops, which was great for the cooler temps in England. Here’s my maxi dress layering outfit worn on my birthday as we went to visit G’s cousin and his family in Exmouth by the coast. Coincidentally, I bought this H&M maxi dress on my birthday last year!
It was really windy by the seaside and I had G snapped multiple shots with the wind billowing at my maxi dress so that I can create an animated gif for my outfit pic. 😉 I’m linking this post with Marionberry’s Trend of the Month: Maxis so do check out how others are wearing their maxi dresses or skirts. 🙂
It’s been a while since I posted an outfit, so here’s one I wore to work earlier this week and linking up with Mix & Match Fashion’s What I Wore to Work.
I spotted Peony Lim in a pretty Anna Sui dress that she wore for fashion week two years ago while perusing her archive when I discovered her blog. I couldn’t forget the gorgeous print on the dress and recently I decided to try and hunt down the dress. Well, as luck would have it, I found a similar dress that Anna Sui created for Anthropologie and someone was clearing their closet on eBay. Even though it was a size or two bigger, I nabbed the dress as I can always have it altered when I go back to KL.
So, here’s the outfit layered under a sleeveless shirt and blouse in an attempt to conceal that the dress is a tad big on me. 😉
