Feature Friday: Chocolate Cookies & Candies

Chocolate Cookies & Candies Marlene & Lil LMarlene & Lil L, her daughter

Marlene, the lifestyle blogger behind Chocolate Cookies & Candies is a mum and entrepreneur who was born in Malaysia, grew up in New Zealand, and currently resides in UK. I can’t remember how I came across her blog, but I’m glad I did for I enjoy reading her blog. I remember poring through her blog upon discovery and chuckling at some of her posts. I could definitely relate to this post as she wrote:

“I believe it should take no more than 30 minutes to create tasty dishes with simple and fresh ingredients. Better still, I love recipes that call for chucking all the ingredients into a pot and simmer for an hour or so while I get on with work.

Any recipe that lists ingredients as long as my arm is instantly ignored. Who wants to race around to every grocery store to find some obscure herb or vegetable? Not to mention the chopping, mincing, saute-ing followed by a long simmer and then baked for an hour, remove foil and bake again. Whew! I feel like I’ve just ran a marathon in the kitchen just reading what I wrote.”

It felt like I found a best friend! πŸ˜‰ Her posts are witty and well-written accompanied by beautiful shots on topics such as fashion, food, and travel. I highly recommend checking out her blog for she has a wealth of knowledge in bags and loves shoes like most females do. (not me but I lust over her Hermes Kelly!) She also shares her first London Fashion Week experience here. Well, enjoy and happy Friday! πŸ™‚

I love her blog! She’s funny and very fashion savvy, imo! Yes, I’ve even tried to make her kale chips…burnt kale chips that is…I’m just a horrible cook.
