Fauxionable Outfit – Pop of Orange

Adding a pop of orange to contrast today’s monochrome outfit and to add some color to the dreary weather. I’m also linking this post to Monday Bloom by DC in Style. This pleated H&M skirt is very similar to The Limited skirt that I recently purchased but since this is a print while the other is stripes, I justified the purchase! One can never have too many monochrome garments, in my opinion. Besides, I can’t seem to resist pleated skirts. 😉

What are your favorite colors to contrast a monochrome outfit?

Fauxionable Outfit – Spring Stripes

Today’s outfit is a nod to this Spring’s trend of monochrome and stripes, a combination that I absolutely adore and embrace with my whole wardrobe! Let’s just say I have one too many black or white garments and oh, let’s not count the striped items I have. 😉 For once, a trend that isn’t really one to me! And yes, I couldn’t resist the pleated striped skirt on sale at The Limited.

I’m linking up with Style Elixir and IFB for this outfit. Happy pre-Friday! 😉

Fauxionable Outfit – Gray & Purple Argyle

Just a simple outfit with my favorite print for Fall/Winter, the argyle. It’s one of my go-to outfits since I tend to either pair the vest with a shirt underneath or a turtleneck.

Fauxionable Outfit – Polka Dots & Red

Red is one of my go-to colors to brighten an outfit or to be used as an accent color against a neutral palette. Here’s red paired with black polka dots…

I realized that this outfit would look better with heels but in all honesty, I walk a lot and heels slow me down (impatient, much?) so those are usually kept in the office while I commute in my flats be it boots or ballet flats!

Happy Pre-Friday! 🙂

Fauxionable Outfit – Argyle & Pinstripes

Here’s a menswear inspired outfit with a mix of argyle and pinstripes.

I almost always pair this shirt with this vest as a go-to outfit for work in the colder seasons. The shirt has a gray-paneled back and embellished diamantes on the front that would, otherwise not be suitable for work except on casual Fridays. How do you pair or mask casual garments to make it more appropriate for work?
